***ROGER EBERT - Review Leak

Hey guys,

A friend of mine works in the mailroom for the Chicago Times and he heard through the grape fine that Roger Ebert didn't think much of Daddy Day Care and is giving it 2 1/2 stars. He and I have already place $55 on it, but it's the limit so I thought I should let everyone else know. Better take advantage before Intertops takes it down.

Okay. I am going to put my trust in you and bet $20 on Roger Ebert for: 1 STAR.

I figure it can't hurt, it's only $20. But if you're wrong... rrrrrr.

Rodboivin, I see you are relatively new on the Rx. I'm going to give you a shot here and appreciate the heads up. That's what this Rx is for. However, if you are going to post like this, I hope you are SURE of your information. Just curious: how would someone in the mailroom have early access to Ebert's review?

I've been around... but I'm a reader, not a poster. But I thought since I had this info, I should share it with the group since you've helped me out - sometimes. I don't know who or how he got 1 STAR (i corrected myself) from... but he said it's going to be 1 STAR, and he's my friend. I don't think he'd screw me. But hey, who knows, the guy could be wrong... but he wouldn't make it up. So I am betting 1 STAR... you can do what you want.

if you can't afford the 55 bucks, you have no business betting on Roger Ebert reviews, IMO.

At first I only bet $20 on Ebert for 1 Star, but then I went and put down another $10. Rod proabably has something here because I read a couple poor reviews for Daddy D and Ebert is a picky guy.

Great point, Oren1. Hopefully RodBoivin is speaking the gospel here, and I'm willing to take the chance that he is. But if I only had $60 in my account, I sure as hell wouldn't be betting $55 of it on Ebert!

Not to be questioning this before the results come out -- but how come you originally said 2.5 stars, but then said 1? How could you, or your friend, mix up 1 and 2.5?
